The world was hers for the reading.
Some of my fondest memories from my childhood are reading with my mother. Whether it was picture books as a child, chapter books at the breakfast table before middle school, or book recommendations from her later in life, literature has always acted as a bond between us. I thank my mother for instilling in me the importance of reading and the pleasure it can provide.
As I have grown into adulthood, I have learned that literature can act as a bond with people in all parts of my life- sharing a book on vacation with a friend, being a part of a book club with women living in my city, or even a stranger on the train who wants me to know they read the book I'm currently reading and they loved it.
So, it is here at Gilt Edge, that I hope to merge two of my passions - literature and fashion - and hope it can provide you with some inspiration, or if anything, a great book recommendation.
