I really enjoyed The Blessings. The book walks through (about a 20 year) time span focusing on a different character's perspective in each part of the book. I was able to get to know the characters as individuals, but the Blessings as a whole, the family unit itself, was the true main character. So much heartache and love and loss and joy. Exactly as you would except from life and family.
That's what happens in families- things shift, openings appear, roles that need filling.
Why You Should Read It:
Seeing this family navigate life - with all the good and the bad, the life and the death, the love and the disappointment - is inspiring and heartwarming and you'll wanna hug your own loved ones because life moves fast and all we have to hold onto is each other.
Ok, cheesy rant over. Enjoy your Wednesday (and I'll be back later this afternoon with a Song of the Week 🎶)
