Hi.

Thanks for visiting my blog! Lots of clothes, oodles of beauty, a few books, and some food. I love hearing from you - so drop me a line! xoxo

🎢 song of the week 🎢

🎢 song of the week 🎢

I first heard 3 Strikes by Terror Jr along with the rest of the world on Kylie Jenner's Glosses video and looooooved it - the song and the video - and I'd like to discuss both.

First the song. It had such a cool sound, I had to know who sang it. So obvs turned to Google and found out they were called Terror Jr but there was literally NOTHING about them (just a lot of speculation - my favorite being that it was Jenner herself - haha!). And they weren't on iTunes. I slipped into a moment of deep despair, wept, and then I moved on with my life. Months later (aka last Thursday night), it popped up on Beats 1 and my faith in the world was restored. I mean, Apple Music, I cannot describe the ways in which you have enriched my life. Thank you. Thank you for bringing 3 Strikes back into my life and onto my playlists.

Ok, now the video. I really respond to Kylie Jenner. I'm not afraid to admit it. She's so cool. Her lips are crazy, I know, but I like them. And her Snapchat really inspires me to become an 18 year old millionaire who is famous for no reason other than the fact that her siblings are famous for no reason. Like that is a life worth living. For the most part, I don't understand this video. What are they doing? Why are they doing this? And I find it interesting that Kylie just sits in the car while her girl squad gets pretty violent in that desert motel. But I LURVE music videos (I am of the TRL generation, for sure), and I think this kind of video brings some really cool theatrics to her brand and beauty in general. Like can I hop in that Rolls Royce, swipe up some Kylie Lip Kit, and toss a bunch of money in the air for no reason?? I would love nothing more.
